However, when I use the Win10 PIA software instead of using the VPN in the router ( I have set up several vitural wireless to switch between VPN and non-VPN connections), the speed can up to 25-30MBit/s. I understand that the situation is due to limited processing power of a wireless router. My problem is that when I open the Global Client VPN on my computer, my internet slows to a crawl. It goes from ~100Mbps to <2Mbps, or less than 1Mbps. This happens as soon as I open the client. The slowdown happens with or without the VPN connected. As soon as I shut down the client, my network speed goes back to normal.
